The Red Deer District Chamber is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Creasey as its new Chief Executive Officer following the Chamber’s 132nd Annual General Meeting.

Frank brings two decades of leadership experience spanning financial management, change leadership, marketing and communications, relationship building, and large-scale event management. In past roles across Alberta, British Columbia, and internationally, he has led transformative initiatives that strengthened organizations, built strategic partnerships, and advanced community and economic development. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management and a Master of Arts in Tourism Management, Frank is recognized for creating solid governance and operational foundations that enable growth and innovation.

“Frank brings a proven track record of building partnerships, driving strategic growth, and strengthening organizations,” said Mike Szyszka, Board President. “We’re confident his leadership will help the Chamber continue to evolve and deliver even greater value for our members and the broader business community.”

The AGM also highlighted a year of meaningful progress for the Chamber, including welcoming 100 new members, maintaining financial stability, and celebrating a record-breaking Agri-Trade Expo . Looking forward, the Chamber announced several initiatives designed to strengthen member engagement and community impact:

  • Tiered Membership Model – A new structure launching this year will provide businesses with greater choice, flexibility, and value, from entry-level memberships for entrepreneurs to premium tiers with enhanced visibility and bundled benefits
  • New Member Committees – Four new committees (Membership, Events, Advocacy, and Marketing) will bring together Directors, staff, and members to shape key programs and priorities
  • Operational Strength – With a new COO role in place, the Chamber is sharpening its focus on both strategic growth and member experience.

“This is an exciting time for the Red Deer & District Chamber,” added Frank. “I look forward to working with the Board, team, and members to build on a strong foundation, expand opportunities, and ensure the Chamber continues to be a driving force for business in Central Alberta.”

The Chamber’s new tiered membership model, four member-driven committees, and other initiatives announced at the AGM will officially launch this November.
